Would You Support Community-Run Beach Toilets?

Following the closure of the Joppa Road toilets at the East end of Portobello Prom in August 2015, a small group of residents have been seeking to assess the viability of reopening the toilets during the summer months.

The service would be funded by donations and run by volunteers.

To get started, the project would need:-

• Strong community support
• A small team of volunteers to form a steering group to assess the feasibility of the service, negotiate with City of Edinburgh Council and 3rd parties
• Some funds to conduct the feasibility work
• Ongoing sources of funding
