BAILIE PLACE, MILTON ROAD – EDINBURGH

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO TRAFFIC ORDERS

In accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, I write to inform you that the City of Edinburgh Council proposes to promote an order which will:-

a)     Introduce One Way Traffic Flow on Bailie Place (Milton Road southwards to access road running to rear of Nos. 15-17 Duddingston Crescent) with a Contra Flow Cycle Lane

b)     Introduce 24 Hour Waiting and Loading Prohibition on Bailie Place and Milton Road

c)     Remove a section of bus lane on Milton Road either side of Bailie Place

This supersedes the previous proposal sent to you on 20 November 2015. The proposal is shown on the attached plan.

Formal objections are not invited at this stage, as a further period will be allowed for the submission of objections when the proposals are formally advertised. It is intended to advertise the proposals at an early date and I should welcome any comments you may have to offer within 4 weeks of the date of this letter.
