City of Edinburgh Council is running consultations on both Open Spaces Strategy and Allotments.

Open Spaces Strategy (Deadline 21 Oct 2016)

The new draft Strategy will last for 5 years and explains how the City Council protects and cares for existing green spaces. It also sets out where new open space should be provided as the city grows.

Allotment Strategy Consultation (Deadline 7 Oct 2016)
The new strategy considers the unprecedented demand for allotments and focuses on a strategic approach in order to tackle the current short fall of sites. It aims to ensure that the benefits of allotment gardening are properly recognised and available to all and that the allotment requirements contained within the new Community Empowerment Act are met.
