Keep Scotland Beautiful has organised free Climate Challenge Fund (9:15-11:30) and Junior Climate Challenge Fund (11:45-13:00) advice surgeries in Edinburgh on 16 July 2014 at Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation.

The CCF supports project activities including:

·         –installation of energy efficient measures in community owned buildings

–advice and support on energy efficiency

–initiatives to provide lower carbon travel alternatives

–provision of community growing space and eating more sustainably 
–schemes to reduce, reuse and recycle waste

A presentation from Keep Scotland Beautiful will introduce the CCF and the support that they provide to applicants. This will be followed by a question and answer session after which there will be one-to-one time for community groups to chat through project ideas with a CCF Development Officer. The CCF event will also feature presentations from Edinburgh World Heritage regarding their Green Heritage CCF funded project and energy efficiency support available from Home Energy Scotland.

Both events are free, but attendees are asked to register their attendance online via the links above of the attached flyers which contain more details.

Of the £10.3 million of CCF and JCCF funding made available by the Scottish Government over £7 million remains for the financial year 2015/2016.

CCF grants up to £150,000 per project are available for community groups to run one year projects that plan to commence activities in April 2015. JCCF funding is also available in 2014/2015.
