We would like to take this opportunity to let you know that Portobello Library will be closed from Monday 27^th October to Thursday 30^th October in order for essential floor replacement works to be undertaken as a result of sustained damage to the floor which is making it dangerous to customers, particularly if we have any wet weather in the coming months. We have made all of our customers aware and have also identified other venues for our community groups to use. We will be continuing to advertise the closure via our social media channels and we would ask if you could make people in your networks aware. There will be a member of staff in the building during this closure period to assist with any enquiries from customers. Library books can be returned to any library across the city or renewed via our website (www.edinburgh.gov.uk/libraries) or by phoning your local library. Piershill (0131 529 5685) and Craigmillar (0131 529 5597) libraries will be happy to welcome any customers there for the duration of the closure. The library will reopen on Friday 31^st October so feel free to pop in and visit us and have a look at our lovely new flooring,
