The White House Christmas Craft Market – Traders Needed!
Host a FREE stall at the White House any or every Saturday between 8th November until 6th December. The Community Alliance Trust, together with the White House is organising a Christmas Craft Market to promote local craft makers in the Craigmillar and wider Edinburgh area. You are warmly welcomed to trade your crafted items, however since we are operating a café and kitchen next door we do not allow fresh food or baked goods to be sold. This does not include preserves, jams, oils, cordials etc. that are bottled and to be used outside of our venue.
We are promoting it as a craft market where people can sell/buy unique yet affordable gifts, jewellery and cards as Christmas presents. However, we are happy to accommodate anything that’s a little bit different too, for example we have a woman interested in providing tasters for her reiki and massage treatments. If you are unsure whether the items you craft or trade would be suitable for our market, feel free to call us on 0131 468 1934 or email myself elin@communityalliancetrust.org.uk.
We would also ask traders to help us in promoting the event through their own network in order to widen the reach across all of Edinburgh, as we have a lot of contacts in the Craigmillar area but not as much beyond. Also we accept donations at the end of the market day, so if you had a successful day trading at our event you are encouraged to donate a suitable amount that’s open to your own interpretation.
Our aim with the market is to promote and create a space for aspiring entrepreneurs as well as any individual with a passion for crafting to sell their items, have fun and hopefully make a bit of cash.
Again, feel free to contact us about anything, normally we’ll pick up the phone between 8am-4pm Mon-Fri. You can also email elin@communityalliancetrust.org.uk for anything relating to our Christmas Market.
The White House is a registered social enterprise operating as a community café, venue and office space as well as catering services. It is located at 70 Niddrie Mains Road, EH16 4BG and is run by the local charity Community Alliance Trust.
