The Council are asked to approve, as set out in Option 4 of the consultation paper:

• the changes to the catchment areas of Towerbank Primary School and its neighbouring primaries, 
• a sibling guarantee is put in place for qualifying families living in the affected areas of the current Towerbank catchment area. 
• that these would apply straight after the decision is made.  

The report also puts forward suggestions to improve the routes to affected schools, including:

• looking to put in another Toucan crossing on Milton Road East, near the Brunstane Road junction, and 
• upgrading signage on the route from Baileyfield to The Royal High Primary School.

Decision date

The Council will take its decision at the meeting on 22 October 2015.

It is important to recognise at this stage that no final decision has been made and that this will be made by Councillors at the Council meeting on 22 October 2015.  A note of the final decision will be published on the website following the meeting.
