ROAD IMPROVEMENT WORK ON A720 WESTBOUND FROM SHERIFFHALL ROUNDABOUT BEGINS 7th OCTOBER 2015
A programme of works to improve the road surface on the westbound A720from Sheriffhall Roundabout will take place overnight between Wednesday 7th October and Sunday 11th October 2015.
These works will require a closure of the westbound carriageway from 8pm to 6am on Wednesday and Thursday, 8pm Friday to 8am Saturday and 8pm Saturday to 9am Sunday when the work will be completed.
While these closures are in force a signed diversion will be in place, with westbound traffic being directed via the A7 and A772 re-joining the A720 at the Gilmerton junction.
Around 22,000 vehicles use this busy section of the A720 each day, and this investment with a value of approximately £190,000 will ensure that this busy section of Scotland’s trunk road network continues to operate safely and reliably for years to come.
