Come and try Coastal Rowing – It’s free, fun and good exercise for all ages, shapes and sizes

Each session will consist of a group of experienced rowers with ‘come and try’ participants

Life jackets will be provided.

Typical age categories for coastal rowing are Under 19 (Youth), 40+ Men, 40+ Women, 50+ Men, 50+Women, 60+ Men, 60+ Women, Open Men (any age), Open Women (any age).

The free taster sessions are being run by Eastern Amateur Coastal Rowing Club, based in Portobello, Edinburgh.

Coastal Rowing Facts:

Scottish Coastal Rowing was established in 2010 with coastal communities building and racing their own wooden boats (St Ayles Skiffs).

Coastal Rowing is fixed seat, with solid wooden oars The boats are 22ft long and designed to be sturdy and safe in the Scottish coastal waters
