Speakers included representatives from City of Edinburgh Council Estates Dept, Action Porty, Save Porty 5s, local councillors and members of the public. Attendees were asked to vote on three options, with each person casting two votes.

 

The votes cast on 1st Preference & 2nd Preference were as follows:

• Council/commercial led Option – 1 & 1
• Save Porty 5s (ie. retaining the resource as is) –  23 & 57
• Action Porty community-led design process – 67 & 38
• Combined Save Porty 5s and Action Porty community-design process – 39 & 8 [NB this wasn’t an option we gave people, but it was the mood of he meeting and some chose to express it that way]
