Digital Scotland Festival 2014
Our summer event launched last week and places are booking up fast. This year we are inviting you to suggest conversation topics to be tackled during the day. Ideas already suggested are diverse and include: different expectations about communications methods for different age groups; online privacy; and overcoming barriers to digital inclusion for disabled people. We will also be hosting a debate in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University titled "Does today’s digital society help or hinder our right to an adequate standard of living?" Digital Participation Strategies
A flurry of strategies prompted Chris to blog about seizing this renewed interest in digital participation and turning it into real action at scale. Three themes across the three strategies are access, motivation and skills – all big issues which we will need to work together on. Chris highlights how SCVO will be helping to ensure the internet is for everyone.
Get Involved
Get Involved is an online resource dedicated to information about third sector organisations in Scotland. You can search for an organisation by keyword, registered charity number, geographic location or their area of activity. We are continuing to develop the site and would love to hear your feedback.
