First ScotRail have announced some changes to the timetable for trains serving Brunstane and Newcraighall stations. The changes will come into operation from mid-December.

The changes include:-

• a more regular service from Newcraighall throughout the day, with trains about every 30 minutes
• an end to the 45-minute gap between 08.35 and 09.20
• a later service from Edinburgh to Newcraighall – at 23.54, compared with the current 23.16

However, journey times for people travelling between Newcraighall and Brunstane to Edinburgh will remain the same.
