FW: New fund to tackle social isolation and loneliness

Posted on: April 14th, 2016

VAF is now inviting applications to the first Scottish Government funded Programme of its kind to tackle social isolation and loneliness in Scotland.

Third sector organisations with an annual income of under £250,000 are being urged to apply to the £500,000 Fund. They can apply for up to £20,000 to carry out activities over a 12-month period that will help to build social capital and make a real difference to the quality of life of some of the most vulnerable in society. The outcomes for the Social Isolation and Loneliness Fund are:

1.    An increase in social connectedness of people experiencing disadvantage; and

2.    A reduction in the effects of social isolation in people experiencing disadvantage.

Applications should be submitted by Friday 20 May 2016.
