May has been busy! This month, Tribe has housed TradFest with the Fiddle Group, Portobello Art School, Screening of Project Wild Thing, Screening of Desert Flower, Portobello Timebank Open Day, Upcycled World workshops, Alexander Technique classes as well as our regular classes and events.

It’s been a brilliant 12 months since TEDxPortobello launched Tribe Porty. Thank you so much for the support, enthusiasm and generosity. Happy Birthday to Tribe Porty and everyone who has joined us along the way!

TEDxPortobello 2016 – Find Us Here

For the second year, Tribe hosted TEDxPortobello which showcased 9 speakers on the theme Find Us Here. With 17 sponsors, 70 people, and over 300 people watching online – it was a special day. Read more here.

Project Wild Thing

Tribe hosted a very successful screening of Project Wild Thing, a film led movement to get kids (and their folks) outdoors living nature rich lives. Thanks to Anna and the Skylark for teaming up on this!

Puppy Academy

New puppy classes began at Tribe earlier this month. Julie is helping dog owners help find calm with their puppies in addition to covering all aspects of socialisation including toilet training, walking to heel, etc as well as general obedience. Welcome Julie and all the wonderful wee puppies!

New Yoga & Pilates Classes

Tribe is excited to have started two new classes throughout the week.  There is a new Pilates class with Christina on Wednesday at 6pm and lunch time Yoga with Rebecca on Thursdays at noon.

You can see the full list of classes here.

The co-working space at Tribe is growing massively with now over 30 fantastic people and businesses using the space to do good work. You can find a full list of the crew here.

This month we have only taken people named Jo. Welcome Joanna Smith who is an artist and doodler and Jo Tennent who creates content through images and words.

As usual, we have our regular events including; String Fiddle Circle Workshops, Tribe Porty Youth Theatre, Yoga, Pilates, Mat Fitness Pilates, MotherKind, Portobello Music School, Portobello Alexander Technique, Upcycled World, Conquer Gravity, The Artist Way, Finding Your Pulse, Daisy BirthingPortobello Art School and Daisy Tinies.

On Being Interview with David Whyte
